His family has confirmed this news by tweeting from Chadwick’s account. Expressing sorrow, his family wrote, “In 2016, Chadwick had stage 3 colon cancer diagnoses, and he had been fighting the disease for the last four years during which it turned into stage 4.”

Chadwick’s family wrote, “A true fighter, Chadwick went through it all, and worked in a lot of films in which you gave him lots of love. From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods and August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and more. He did all such films during the endless surgeries and chemotherapy. It was an honor for him to bring King T’Challa alive as a Black Panther. He gave up his life in his house, with his wife and his family. The family thank you for your love and prayers and hope that you will respect our privacy in this time of grief.” This tweet by the family of Chadwick has many retweets and reply to fans.

Chadwick made a name in his career with films like ’42‘ and ‘Get on Up’ and then became a hit among the audience by playing the character T-Challa / Black Panther in the 2018 Marvel Cinematic Universe film ‘Black Panther’. He then appeared again in blockbuster films like Avengers-Infinity War and Avengers-End Game, playing the role of Black Panther. His last film ‘Da 5 Bloods’ was released this year.
