Swiss pharmaceutical company will introduce COVID test soon, identify Corona within 15 mins

Switzerland’s drug company Roche has announced on Tuesday that it will offer a test to detect the coronavirus by the end of September. Through this, COVID-19 can be detected in just 15 minutes. The company said that this test identifies the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which has caused a worldwide pandemic. So far, over 8.51 lakh people have died worldwide due to the coronavirus epidemic. At the same time, the total number of infections has reached above 2.54 crores.

More than 100 countries around the world are facing the outbreak of this deadly virus. The total number of coronavirus infections worldwide is more than 25 million. Among the countries most affected by Covid-19, America, Brazil, and India are at the top. In India, the number of corona virus-infected has reached close to 37 lakhs, while more than 69,000 people have died so far.

The company said that this test will be available first for those countries that recognize the CE mark for products sold in the European Union. However, the company will soon seek approval of the US Food and Drug Authority (FDA).

The company said, “With the launch of this test, the capacity of 40 million SARS Cov-2 rapid tests will be available every month. By the end of the year, this capacity will be doubled.”

Swiss farm company Roche Biotech will collaborate with SD Biosensor Inc. to launch and distribute the product.
