Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) ranked as the top global solar power generation company

In terms of operational, under construction, and awarded projects, Adani Group has been ranked as the top global solar power generation company in the latest ranking of global solar companies by Mercom Capital. Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has topped the global ranking in terms of capacity under construction and delivered for projects of 10.1 GW.

The company’s renewable energy portfolio exceeds the total capacity established in 2019 by the entire US solar industry. Explaining this ranking, Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani said that achieving this ranking is a direct result of our commitment to build the necessary infrastructure for the future of environmentally friendly energy. He said that we hope that our renewable energy platform will create new possibilities for our core business.

The company set up its first solar project in the year 2015 and in 2017 the company completed two solar projects. The company was listed in 2018 and aims to achieve 25 GW installed capacity of renewable energy by 2025.
