Seven members of Star Plus’s famous show ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ test covid-19 positive

On Monday, producer Rajan Shahi’s long-running TV show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) suffered a major setback when three of its cast members and four in the crew-members, found positive for Covid-19.

There is bad news for the show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. On Monday, producer Rajan Shahi’s long-running TV show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) suffered a major setback when three of its cast members and four in the crew-members, found positive for Covid-19.

Rajan released an official statement and confirmed the name of the actors. “Actors Swati Chitnis, Sachin Tyagi, Samir Onkar have tested positive for Covid-19, but all of them are asymptomatic. All three actors are part of the Goenka family in the show. After their test reports came in, the shoot was stopped, and crew members underwent for Covid-19 tests. Four crew members have tested positive and are receiving medical attention.

Due to safety reasons, they are kept in home quarantine. BMC(Bombay Municipal Corporation) had advised them for the same process. Immediately, the entire on-set team was kept in isolation and tested for Covid-19. Four crew members have also tested positive. The BMC has been informed immediately and the entire set has been sanitized and disinfected. Currently, all of them are receiving medical attention in-home quarantine,” the statement stated.

A source from the television show reveals, “Shivangi(Naira) and Mohsin(Kartik), lead actors of the show, received their report today and fortunately, they have found negative. However, all the members of the show have been asked to undergo home isolation for the safety reason”.

Producer Rajan Shahi also assured that the team has been following all conventions. “The three actors are an essential part of the show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. As they are asymptomatic, they are under the home isolate. We quickly got everybody on the set tested, and four of the crew members tested positive. The BMC has been informed, and the entire set has been sanitized and disinfected. Currently, every one of them is getting clinical consideration under home isolation. We are consistently in contact with them as their wellbeing is our priority. We stand by our promise to safety and will keep on ensuring that all safety and precautionary steps are adhered to,” he shared.
