Nantisha Mehra and Bandish Kachhy’s intimate destination wedding at The Palayyana Hua Hin saw a vibrant blend of local influences and Indian traditions for a celebration like no else. How they met
Sales professionals Bandish Kachhy and Nantisha Mehra met at their University in Melbourne and became close friends. Working together over various group projects they bonded deeply and soon started dating, and after four and a half years of togetherness decided to take their relationship to the next level.

The Proposal
During a trip to Denwa Backwater Escape Resort in Madhya Pradesh with their friends, Bandish planned a memorable jungle dinner experience and a surprise proposal with the help of his gang. Over a private dinner amidst lush wilderness lit only with tea lights and tiki torches, he popped the question and swept Nantisha off her feet.

Wedding venue
For their intimate destination wedding, the couple wanted to embrace the vibrant beauty and versatility of Thailand and picked the stunning boutique beach resort of  The Palayana Hua Hin. Wedding Functions

Mehndi
The wedding started with a lively outdoor mehndi soiree on the lawns with the colorful, floral decor in a refreshing summer palette. A profusion of flowers, colored palms, breezy drapes, prints, and textures came together to make up the pretty decor, while wedding favors, games, music, dance, and henna artists added to the enjoyment of the occasion. Sporting delicate pastel ensembles, the couple entered in style with color bombs, setting a vibrant tone for the celebrations.

Cocktail
The glitzy Sangeet exuded the glamor of a red carpet evening with the edgy black and gold decor, tuxedos, and gowns. The entrance featured a photobooth to capture their memories while sleek gilded elements and rich red roses added an aura of mystery and elegance to the night as the couple and their loved ones came and descended on the dance floor to shake a leg. The bride dazzled in a silver sequinned lehenga while the groom looked suave in a classic tuxedo.

Haldi
Local Thai elements came together with traditional Haldi customs to conjure a charming celebration brimming with love and beauty. Flowers and drapes in shades of yellow decked the wooden space where the couple’s loved ones gathered around them to perform the rituals. Sitting in brass urlis, the couple was doused in haldi and flower petals amidst great cheer.

Wedding
Imagined with the ethereal pastel decor of white and blush, the beach wedding painted a pretty picture against the rolling azure waves beyond. Dressed in quintessential reds, the bride walked down under a beguiling phoolon ki chadar, while the groom looked every bit like a king in an elegant cream sherwani as he arrived with his exuberant baraat. Performed in a stunning floral mandap right on the beach, the nuptials were imbibed with the tranquility of the pristine coastal beauty and the sound of the soothing waves.

Advice for couples
“Don’t bother making everyone happy, because someone somewhere will be not as happy as you would like them to be, and it is perfectly fine as long as you, your partner, and the people that matter to you are happy. Delegate what you can, stick to budgets, research well, and most of all enjoy every minute of the process, including the disagreements and compromises, as they bring you and your families closer together.”
