Exuding glamour and tradition in equal measures, this couple’s wedding in Mumbai was a vibrant celebration.

Brimming with vivid hues and traditional elements, Nisha Laddha, an artist and Pradyumna Laddha, an IT professional’s wedding was hosted in Mumbai. Planned, conceptualised and designed by WeddingSutra Favorite – Festal Events LLP, this indoor wedding was the perfect mix of new-age and traditional styles.

Wedding Planning
Akanksha Jain from Festal Events LLP shares, “The couple was very specific and organized. They knew what kind of theme, décor and specifics they want for the wedding and other functions. Both of the families had an inclination towards spirituality and wanted to inculcate that in the functions as well. Apart from their spiritual side, both bride and groom were Mumbaikars and wanted to highlight the glamour quotient of the city.”

Weddings Functions
Mehndi
Akanksha shares, “All the events at the wedding were slated to happen in the same banquet hall. Due to this, we worked for almost 24 hours at a length to create setups for the next event while the current event was ongoing. However, we were very cautious and did not disturb any guests. The mehndi event was a simple one where the bride had an amazing time with her loved ones as the ladies got their hands patterned with henna.”

Sangeet
To amplify the glamour quotient, the sangeet night was a glittery one. Decorated with sequins and equipped with an acrylic stage, the evening was filled with dazzling performances. Lit up by an LED signage that showcased the couple’s wedding hashtag, everyone shook their legs enthusiastically to their favourite beats all night long!

Haldi
Akanksha shares, “The duo’s families are dedicated devotees of Lord Krishna and they wanted to incorporate their admiration for him in all the events. For the haldi, our team came up with the idea of ‘Phoolon Ki Holi’, an age-old tradition from Mathura, Lord Krishna’s birthplace, where Holi is celebrated not by colours but by flower petals.

Wedding
Bedecked in hues of red, white and gold – the wedding exuded grandeur and romance. With a floral mandap and elaborate dinner seating options, the union was a luxurious one as the tables were decorated with vintage candlestands and blooms. On the entryway, red drapes greeted the guests while crystal chandeliers hung from above.
