Lal Bahadur Shastri Group of Institutions organized One Day National Seminar on “Transforming the Business Landscape Through Digital & Data Driven Strategies” in collaboration with Department of IT and Electronics, Government of Uttar Pradesh on 29″ April, 2023 at International Buddhist Research Institute, Vipin Khand, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow Digital transformation is the process of embedding innovative technologies into all aspects of business, from daily operations to strategic decision making. It involves not only a move from analog to digital instruments but also a culture shift and rethinking of ways a company should work

Mr. Kumar Saumy, Director Group Development, LBSGOI welcomed the Chief guest Prof. Alok Kumar Rai, Vice Chancellor, Lucknow University who have inaugurated the Seminar. Prof. Alok Kumar Rai said that India’s G-20 presidency has provided an opportunity for the country to showcase its advancements in the digital arena, particularly with regards to data infrastructures and data governance. They gave importance aspects for being transformative that is to realize IT (Indian Talent) + IT (Information Technology) IT (India Tomorrow). Thus one can certainly say that our country’s journey towards digital transformation is real for an example buying one’s own daily household items and almost not carrying a wallet or physical money, as Indian citizens have accepted all forms of digital payments.

After this discussion started on first sub theme session titled Evolving the Definition of Business Strategy through Digital Strategies. The Panelists Mr.Pranay Pathak, CEO and State Head, Reliance JioInfocomm UP East and Mr. Sunil Kumar, Chief Technology Officer, Shiprocket, Mr. Pramod Dikshit, Former Deputy Director, PNBIT and Ms. Bhawna Pandey, Marketing Head, Reliance Jiolnfocomm, UP East They discussed about the importance of digitization in business strategy & elaborated that how business intelligence can be improved by using it. It can be used to define organizational directives & specifies how new competitive advantages are manipulated using technology.

Second sub theme titled Measuring marketing performance through analytics, was discussed by Mr. Badshah Mukherjee, Practice Lead – Analytics SAS MEA & by Ms. Kirti Pandey, Assistant Vice President, IKP knowledge Park, Hyedrabad. They focused on the view that marketing analytics is all about the practise of monitoring, managing, and analysing marketing performance to increase its efficacy and optimise return on investment (ROI). With analytics we can calculate ROI which tells how much money has been made or lost in an investment or project after accounting for its cost.

Third sub theme titled “Optimising the spend on different digital media platforms, was discussed by Mr. Devendra Dikshit, Co-Promoter.Sigma Trade Wings, Mr. Kumar Siddharth, DGM-Corporate Business (SME), Yatra Online Ltd., and Mr. Pranjal Pathak, Freelancer & Consultant They discussed the need and importance of a dynamic budget allocation policy for a campaign posted through a social network (e.g. Facebook, Instagram) and gave an insight of different techniques used to optimize marketing campaigns, such as attribution and marketing mix models.

Fourth session was on sub theme titled “Digital strategies for powerful audience communication & engagement”. The panelists, were started by Mr. Rohan Trehan, Animator & Youtuber, Ms. Devanshi Seth, Founder, NowLucknow.com. The panellists focused on how to set a digital engagement strategy that cater the need to attract people. They mentioned that the best way is to arm audiences with knowledge related topics such as healthcare, science and others. They focused on how to define and refine the target audience by listening to them and trying to understand their needs, desires, values and emotions
