This vaccine produced by the Gamaleya Research Institute of Moscow is made using the particles based on adenoviruses. The chief Alexander Gintesburg said that ‘Particles and objects that can make copies of themselves are considered alive.’  According to him, the particles that have been used in the vaccine cannot make their copies.

According to Alexander, some people may suffer from fever after giving doses of vaccine. For this, he has suggested the use of paracetamol. He said, “Some people naturally have a fever when the immunity system gets a powerful boost after being vaccinated, but this ‘side effect’ can be overcome with paracetamol.”

Some reports have stated that in addition to Alexander, other people involved in research and manufacturing have got themselves vaccinated first. Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko has said that this vaccine may be given to health workers this month as a next step in the development of the vaccination.
