The bann is due to security reasons, says India, as China raises app bann issue

In a two sided meeting with New Delhi, China raises the app bann issue recently. We all know that India recently banned 59 Chinese apps including Tik Tok, UC Browser, Cam Scanner and various other big apps.

“At a diplomatic level meeting, the chinese side raised the issue of bann on its mobile applications in India”, sourced from ANI.

The Indian side gave a clear view that the app bann is purely done for security reasons. India cannot compromise any data related sharing of its citizens with anybody.

The 59 apps banned from India included many social platforms like Tik Tok, We Chat, UC Browser, Helo etc were a threat to our nation’s security and supremacy.

The apps banned were majorly given a red alert by our intelligence agency in a view that they were collecting n no of user data and possibly sending it out too.

After the bann, the chinese foreign ministry said that it was India’s duty to protect legal rights of its international investors which clearly they didn’t secure.

The apps have been banned under section 69A of the Information Technology Act. A thorough act has been read with relevant provisions of Information Technology (Procedure and Safeguards for Blocking of Access of Information by Public) rules 2009.
