Indore got top position in the list of ‘Swachh Survekshan 2020’ for the 4th time

The results of the Nationwide Annual Sanitation Survey 2020 have been announced. For the fourth consecutive time, the Indore city of Madhya Pradesh has been declared the cleanest city in the country. Let us know that every year the Modi government announces clean survey results. The results of the fifth edition ‘Clean Survey 2020’ were announced today. Surat ranked second and Navi Mumbai third among clean cities of the country. Ministry spokesman Rajiv Jain said on Tuesday that 1.87 crore citizens participated in the survey of 4242 cities, 62 Cantonment Boards, and 92 towns along the river Ganges.

Madhya Pradesh likely to get 10 awards

PM Modi Narendra Modi and Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs (Independent Charge) Hardeep S. Puri will distribute the award through video conferencing. Indore, Bhopal, Ratlam, Dewas, Ujjain, Jabalpur, Sehore, and Burhanpur are the names of Madhya Pradesh in the list of cleanliness survey award ceremony. These districts are likely to get awards in different categories.

Union Urban Development Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said that Indore is the cleanest city in India for the fourth consecutive year. Indore and its people have shown exemplary dedication towards cleanliness. Congratulations to CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan, people of the city, political leadership, and the Municipal Corporation for this spectacular performance.

The ministry has said that the Clean Survey 2020 campaign has been completed in 28 days. 1.7 crore citizens registered on the cleanliness app. It was viewed more than 11 crore times on social media, more than 5.5 lakh sweepers were linked to social welfare programs and more than 84,000 people engaged in informal garbage picking work were brought into the mainstream.
