Commando-actor Vidyut Jammwal provides financial support to stuntmen association

Famous Bollywood actor Vidyut Jammwal has loaned some assistance to stuntmen of the industry and donated to the Movie Stunt Artists’ Association. He has also written a note in which he also requested other actors to come forward to help the stunt artists.

In the note for the association, he has thanked them for adding the larger-than-life quality to stars. Vidyut said in the interview, “Our stunt artistes need our support at these times of crisis. This is my humble request to especially my colleagues, to donate as much as possible so that their livelihood is assured. We need to nurture our own generosity for a better world. I realized that they had almost exhausted their savings. I thought if I start this initiative of supporting them financially, it will encourage other actors to come forward.”

Batting for recognition for stuntmen, Akshay Kumar – the star who found popularity recognition with his action films initially- had earlier informed, “I am a stuntman first before being an actor. For 10 years, I worked as a stuntman in the Hindi film industry before getting the opportunity of acting. So I know how much difficulty stuntmen face for earning bread for their family, they even risk their lives. I can understand what it takes to risk their lives to entertain us. So I think they should get equal respect even at the award functions for their work.”

Vidyut has made his Bollywood debut with an action thriller Force in 2011, in which he played the antagonist. He is an Indian actor, martial artist, and a stunt performer. Vidyut has also acted in the Commando franchise such as Baadshaho, Bullett Raja, and Junglee and was recently seen in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Yaara and now he is all set for the online premiere of Khuda Hafiz on Friday. He is best known for his roles in action films like the Commando series.
