How They Met
Ankit shares, “We met through a dating app in 2019 in New York. I was a working professional, and Miloni was a student at the NY School of Interior Design for her Master’s. We were in a long distance relationship for one and a half years and as the Pandemic hit in early 2020, she moved to Las Vegas for her first job after graduation. We spoke to each other’s family over video calls and got engaged in March 2022 in a traditional ceremony but there was no ring, yet!
I planned a surprise in New York’s Central Park during our pre-wedding photoshoot and gave her the ring at the iconic Bethesda Terrace.”

Wedding Venue
When it came to choosing the venue, the couple was keen on a picture-perfect setting where they could begin this new chapter in their lives. The couple shares, “We chose Grape County Eco Resort and Spa for its countryside vibe surrounded by mountains which was the perfect backdrop for our wedding. It also offers varied landscapes for all kinds of festivities for the wedding. Plus it’s a convenient drive away from major cities which made it easier for our loved ones to attend and wouldn’t be too taxing for the senior members of our party.”

Wedding Planning
On the photography front, the couple went ahead with their pre-wedding photographer, Filming B Productions who was already in tandem with their aesthetic preferences. The Gujarati wedding in February flaunted an array of stunning themes that paid homage to the couple’s cultural roots while retaining their love for subtle modern elements.

Wedding Functions
Mehndi
Miloni shares, “We wanted bohemian vibes with an eclectic mix of colours, patterns, and elements to create a relaxed ambience. The colour palette was a rich tapestry of earthy tones like terracotta, deep blues, and vibrant shades of red, orange, and pink. These colors reflected the boho aesthetic and blended beautifully with the poolside setting. We had cushioned stool seating, vibrant rugs, and floor pillows arranged around the pool. Low wooden tables were scattered throughout, providing space for Mehndi artists and guests to sit comfortably. Suspended tapestries, dreamcatchers, and macrame decorations adorned the surrounding trees and created a whimsical and dreamy atmosphere.”

Haldi
The couple shares, “Haldi festivities were held in the garden by the poolside of the venue. The vibe of the event was tropical and sunny. Yellow being the dominant colour of the event, we requested all the guests to dress up in yellow outfits. We wore white outfits because we wanted the contrasting yellow colour of the haldi to stand out. Amongst the various games we played, there was a tug-of-war between the bride and groom’s teams.”

Wedding
The couple shares, “The Turf at the venue was nestled at the base of a range of imposing mountains, their rugged beauty contrasting with the softness of the decor. As the sun set, it cast a warm, golden glow on the scene, enhancing the ambience. The decor was a symphony of white flowers, exuding grace and purity. The wedding mandap, set at the center of the venue, was a masterpiece of white floral design. White roses, lilies, orchids, and jasmine were draped gracefully, creating a stunning canopy.”
