Cooperative – Budget 2023-24

▪️Rs 175 crore for advance storage of chemical fertilizers.

▪️Arrangement of Rs 100 crore for financial strengthening of district cooperative banks

▪️In the year 2021-2022, loans worth Rs 7,556.91 crore were disbursed and 18.76 lakh farmers were benefited.

▪️In the year 2022-2023, 15.41 lakh farmers were benefited by disbursing loans worth Rs.6936.76 crore (till 30-11-2022).

UP Budget 2023-24

Khadi and Village Industries

▪️Under Pt. Deendayal Gramodyog Rozgar Yojana, the provision of interest subvention facility for 3 years to the beneficiaries of Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Scheme of the Government of India. A budget provision of Rs 10 crore for this scheme.

▪️Arrangement of Rs 13 crore in the financial year 2023-2024 under Khadi and Village Industries Development and Sustainable Self Employment Promotion Policy.

▪️A provision of Rs 10 crore in the financial year 2023-2024 to connect traditional artisans of clay art with employment in the state.

 Budget 2023-24

Handloom and Textile Industry

▪️UP Textile and Garmenting Policy – 2022 promulgated with the aim of attracting investment in the textile sector and creating maximum employment in the state. A budget provision of Rs 150 crore for providing financial facilities to the investors of textile sector and youths starting new businesses.

▪️Arrangement of Rs 175 crore under Garmenting Policy, 2017

▪️Arrangement of Rs 345 crore for making electricity available at subsidized rates to powerloom weavers of the state.

▪️Arrangement of Rs 20 crore for Mukhyamantri Power Loom Udyog Vikas Yojana and Rs 10 crore for Mukhyamantri Bunkar Saur Urja Yojana

▪️Arrangement of about Rs 18 crore for Jhalkari Bai Kori Handloom and Power Loom Development Scheme.

 Budget 2023-24

IT & Electronics

▪️In the financial year 2021-22, the tablet / smartphone distribution scheme was implemented as a pilot project for the technical empowerment of the youth of the state. The target has been set to distribute 2 crore tablets/smartphones in 5 years. Rs 3600 crore provision for this scheme

▪️Provision of Rs 401 crore for the implementation of Uttar Pradesh Electronics Manufacturing Policy.

▪️Arrangement of Rs 85 crore 89 lakh for State Data Center

▪️Provision of Rs 60 crore for Uttar Pradesh Information Technology and Startup Policy.

▪️Establishment of IT parks in the state for infrastructure development in information technology and information technology-generated services sector in the state. Under the UP Information Technology Policy – 2017-2022, the state has received investment proposals of about Rs 6,300 crore with employment to about 53,000 persons.

▪️New Uttar Pradesh Information Technology and Information Technology Enabled Services Policy – 2022 notified on November 18, 2022. Under this, an investment of about Rs. 5000 crores, direct employment for about 50,000 persons and indirect employment for 1,00,000 persons is expected to be created.
