A two-day wedding that saw every dream from the bride’s vision board turn into reality.
Diya and Nikhil’s match was “kind of arranged” but definitely love. The two met when they were both ready to tie the knot and plan a future with their soulmate. And when the wedding celebrations were being planned, Diya was ready with the Pinterest references that she’d been saving for years, and Nikhil took over the food curation. Wedding Sutra Favorite brought these dreams to life in a two-day celebration at Goa Marriott Resort and Spa

How They Met
Diya says she and Nikhil were ready to get married and so their profiles were out “there”. However, the match didn’t come from an AI algorithm, but from a friend who knew that they two would hit it off!
“From our very first conversation, something felt different. There was an ease in the way we spoke, a kind of comfort that didn’t feel forced or rushed. It wasn’t fireworks or drama—it was just this quiet knowing. Like, oh… this might actually be it. We talked for hours about everything and nothing, and with every call, and every jäger night, things just fell into place,” says Diya.

She adds, “What started as a ‘setup’ quickly became the most natural, effortless love I’ve ever known. He’s the calm to my storm and he’s endlessly supportive of everything I am and want to be. Somewhere between those long calls and longer dates, I realized I didn’t just find a partner—I found my home.”
Wedding Planning
When looking for a venue the couple wanted something that was beachy but also luxurious. The Goa Marriott Spa and Resort was perfect for their dream wedding. And the “unreal” view from the venue, also helped!

While the wedding happened only now, Diya had been envisioning it for a while, saving her favorites on Pinterest and dreaming up the perfect details. So, when the team at F5 We3ddings started planning this celebration, they got a clear brief from the couple. Diya says, “Basically, F5 Weddings brought my Pinterest board to life! Purvi and her team are the best. They were my sanity during the madness. I had so many thoughts and they streamlined all of it into magic. Every event was executed with precision, heart, and personality. I couldn’t have done this without them!”

Wedding Functions
Mehendi
The celebrations started with a Welcome Bingo, where guests had to locate friends and family from a pool of IDs such as “only child”, “vegetarian”, “is wearing the same colors”. An easy, fun way of breaking the ice at a destination wedding and getting the guests chatty!
The mehendi that followed was a pastel, floral, and—very importantly—boozy celebration! Diya brief was “think happy drunk brunch in Bangalore!” Spin the wheel drinking games added to this vibe!
Sangeet
As much as the mehendi was a soft pastel, the sangeet enjoyed royal red grandeur. The venue was cloaked in red canopies, and the grand stage with its MI bar frames added to the stunning visual.
Muhuratham
Diya confesses that she is a “pink girl”. She wanted everyone at her wedding to be in pink and a muhuratham décor that matched.
And so, while the chairs and the mandap were plexiglass, the décor was a soft white and pink pastel—minimal as Diya wanted. The view of the robust sea behind the mandap, added a touch of magical!
After Party
The celebrations continued with a rager of an after party! Lights, a ball pitt, loud music, and non-stop dancing made the couple’s dream afterparty come true!
