Hardik Satishchandra Shah has been appointed as Personal Secretary to the Prime Minister by replacing Rajeev Topno

The ACC (Appointments Committee of the Cabinet) has cleared the appointment of Gujarat cadre Hardik Satishchandra Shah as his new private secretary.(ANI)

Hardik Satishchandra Shah, who was the Deputy Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), has been made Personal Secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Hardik Shah is an IAS officer of Gujarat cadre (2010 batch).

This information has been obtained from an order of the Ministry of Personnel. Shah, a 2010 batch IAS officer of Gujarat cadre, is currently working as Deputy Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) since last August. The order states that Shah has been appointed as the Personal Secretary to the Prime Minister on co-terminus basis.

The ACC (Appointments Committee of the Cabinet) chaired by the Prime Minister has approved the appointment of Hardik Shah. The Ministry has informed this news on Thursday.

Personal Secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rajiv Topno has been appointed as Senior Advisor to the Executive Director of the World Bank in Washington. This information has been given in the order issued on Thursday by the Ministry of Personnel. Rajeev Topno is a 1996 batch Gujarat cadre Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer. He will have tenure of three years. He was appointed as the Personal Secretary of PM in July last year.

Before being sent to the PMO last year, Shah was working as the personal secretary of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Prakash Javadekar.
