Sports – Budget 2023-24

▪️Arrangement of Rs 30 crore for Khelo India University Games.

▪️Rs 50 crore provision for construction of sports infrastructure in the state with private participation

▪️Arrangement of Rs 15 crore for awarding the winners of national and international competitions

▪️Provision of Rs 25 crore for establishment of sports development fund

▪️Arrangement of Rs 300 crore for the establishment of Major Dhyan Chand Sports University in district Meerut.

▪️Arrangement of Rs 20 crore 50 lakh for construction of sports college in Saharanpur, Fatehpur and Ballia

Cultural and Religious Endowment

▪️Vedic Science Center was established on the campus of Banaras Hindu University.

▪️In anticipation of a potential increase in tourism brought on by the construction of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple in the district of Ayodhya, it is planned that work on widening and beautifying three access roads will be finished within the next two years. 

▪️The process of renovation and beautification of the famous Maa Vindhyavasini Devi Temple, Maa Ashtabhuji Devi Temple and Kali Khoh Temple in Mirzapur district is in progress.

▪️Proposal for establishment of Bhajan Sandhya Sthal in district Prayagraj

▪️Proposal to establish Veda Science Study Center in Naimisharanya, a famous Taposthali in district Sitapur.

 Budget 2023-24

Tourism

▪️In the year 2022, there were more than 24 crore 87 lakh visitors to Uttar Pradesh, of which 24 crore 83 lakh were Indian visitors and more than 04 lakh 10 thousand were foreign visitors.

▪️Tourism development of Gorakhpur-Devipatan-Dumariyaganj under spiritual circuit scheme, integrated tourism development of Jewar-Dadri-Secunderabad-Noida-Khurja-Banda under spiritual circuit scheme, implementation of approved schemes for tourism development of Govardhan located in district Mathura.

▪️The work of tourism development and beautification of Ayodhya, Varanasi, Chitrakoot, Vindhyachal, Prayagraj, Naimisharanya, Gorakhpur, Mathura, Bateshwar Dham and other important tourist places is in progress.

▪️Under the Chief Minister’s Tourism Promotion Scheme, the development of tourist places located in the state is being done with an amount of Rs 300 crore.

▪️Arrangement of Rs 50 crore in the current financial year for the integrated tourism development of Shakti Peeth Maa Shakumbhari Devi Temple.

▪️Arrangement of Rs 40 crore in the current financial year for the integrated development of Prayagraj.

▪️Arrangement of Rs 45 crore for the promotion of tourism units under Tourism Policy 2018

▪️Arrangement of Rs 40 crore in the current financial year for the integrated tourism development of the Buddhist Circuit.

▪️Rs 40 crore provision for integrated tourism development of Bundelkhand

▪️Arrangement of Rs. 10 crore for the integrated tourism development of Shukratirth Dham. 

▪️Arrangement of Rs 2 crore for promotion of youth tourism in the state.

▪️Provision of Rs 2.50 crore for establishment of Uttar Pradesh Eco Tourism, Lucknow Board.

▪️Arrangement of Rs 5 crore for international/national level mega event.

▪️Arrangement of Rs 2.50 crore for Shri Naimisharanya Dham Teerth Vikas Parishad.

Forest and Environment

▪️At present, the forest and tree cover in Uttar Pradesh is 9.23 percent of the geographical area of the state. The target is to increase forest and tree cover to 15 percent by the year 2030. The target has been set to plant 35 crore saplings in the rainy season-2023.

▪️Provision of Rs.600 crore for social forestry scheme.

▪️Arrangement of Rs 175 crore for nursery management scheme

▪️Provision of Rs 100 crore for the programs run under the Green India Mission.

▪️Arrangement of Rs 10 crore for the development of eco-tourism in the state.

▪️Arrangement of Rs 50 crore for establishment of Night Safari Park in Kukrail forest area located in Lucknow.

Divyangjan Empowerment

▪️A total of Rs 20.60 crore has been proposed for the remaining works of integrated special secondary schools under construction and Rs 8.64 crore for the arrangement of furniture, equipment etc. in the constructed integrated special secondary schools.

▪️Budgetary provision of Rs 10 crore for providing assistance to voluntary organizations for shelter home cum training centers for mentally retarded and mentally ill destitute disabled people

▪️Arrangement of Rs.29 crore in the first phase for the establishment of integrated special secondary schools.
