Play All Box Cricket League – Season 1 – Gurgaon Chapter

We are excited to launch the latest edition of Play All Box Cricket League in the heart of Gurgaon at Play All Sports Complex Gurgaon Sector 62 on 12th & 13th March 2022.

Each team will play a minimum of 3 matches.

Entry fees – Rs. 5000 per team

Exciting prize worth over ₹75000

  1. Winner – Cash Prize of ₹ 25000
  2. Runner Up – Cash Prize ₹ 10000 
  3. All participants – Play All Gurgaon Box Cricket Credits worth ₹ 2500

Events will be photographed and each player will get a refreshment box.  Matches will be played on 13MM turf specially designed for box cricket matches. This is an open tournament minimum age of players should be 18 years on the date of the event

BOX CRICKET – RULES 

  1. 5 players for each team and 1 replacement is allowed. Wicket Keeper Compulsory. 
  2. Below points system shall be applicable for league matches after initial matches it will be the knockout system.
  • Winning Team
  • 2 Points
  • Losing Team
  • 0 Point
  • Match Tie
  • 1 Point each
  • Group Tie
  • Net Run difference will be checked.
  1. Only one team to qualify from a group in league rounds.
  2. The Box Cricket is a 5 a side tournament with a maximum squad size of 6. Minimum 5 players are required to play and if a team has less than 5 players they will forfeit the match to the opposing team. 
  3. Each group match will be 6 overs per side.
  4. Each player can bowl a maximum of 2 overs. 
  5. The umpire’s authority and decisions are final. 
  6. If a player plays for more than one team then both teams will be disqualified. 
  7. All extras like wides no balls byes etc. will be counted. 
  8. If a batsman hit the balls out of the playing area directly(apart from the boundary at the front) it would be declared a dead ball. 
  9. If a team fails to reach the field of play by 5 minutes after their scheduled time they will forfeit the match to the opposing team. 
  10. The rules are subject to change without further notice. They will be displayed at the venue on the day of the event and it is every team’s responsibility to read the rules and abide by them. 
  11. A wicketkeeper is compulsory.
  12. A maximum of 2 fielders can stand behind the umpire. 
  13. No fielder is allowed to stand straight behind the bowling wicket. The umpire will give a warning to the fielding team if this happens once and then give a no-ball for the same violation. 
  14. All types of no-balls will lead to a free hit. A batsman can only be out run-out on free hits. 
  15. Batsmen can run on overthrows and boundaries on overthrows will also be added to the score. 
  16. All bouncers above the head will be called wide. 2 bouncers (above the shoulder) will be allowed per over. After 2 bouncers all bouncers will be called no-balls in that over. 
  17. Under-arm bowling is not allowed 

Prize money is subject to a minimum of 16 entries received. In case of lesser entries, Play All reserves the right to reduce the prize money or cancel the event.
