Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the governors’ conference on National Education Policy (NEP 2020) today through video conference. President Ramnath Kovind, Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Education Ministers of all states, Vice Chancellors of State Universities, and other senior officials were also present in this conference. During this conference, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke on many important aspects of the new education policy.

On the National Education Policy, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “When the world’s great universities open their campus in the country, the tendency of children to go foreign will also be weak. This will increase competition among universities in the country. This education policy is not the education policy of the government. This is the education policy of the country. ”

PM Modi added, “National education policy has truly been made a part of our education system without pressure, without deprivation and without effect, democratic values ​​of learning. The new education policy has opened the way for the establishment of the campus of the Best International Institutions in India to tackle Brain Drain and also for the youth of ordinary families.”

He further said, “The new education policy also focuses on teacher training including foundational learning and language. The new education policy focuses on learning rather than study and goes beyond the Curriculum and emphasizes critical thinking. Extensive reforms have also been made in the new education policy regarding Access and Assessment. The new education policy has shown a way to enable every student.”
