“Celebrating 17 Glorious Years of Excellence – Centurion Defence Academy”

Celebrating 17 glorious years of unwavering commitment to nation-building, Centurion Defence Academy hosted its annual function “Centurion’s Badhte Kadam” in a grand patriotic ambience, honouring courage, leadership, and dedication to the motherland.

The event witnessed the presence of Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya and BJP Leader Shri Neeraj Singh, who appreciated the brave warriors of Operation Sindoor and felicitated the retired armed forces personnel, SDRF, Fire Services, and Police personnel with ‘VEERTA PURASKAAR 2025’in a joint association of Centurion Defence Academy and Amar Ujala for their exemplary courage and service.

Renowned lyricist Shri Manoj Muntashir infused the evening with patriotic fervour through his soul-stirring verses and celebrated compositions, inspiring both youth and armed forces personnel present.

CMD & Chairman Mr. Shishir Dixit proudly shared that in 2025, the academy achieved 150+ selections in the Indian Armed Forces through NDA, CDS, AFCAT, MNS, and SSB Interviews, maintaining the highest selection rate in India.

Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya said that honouring the brave soldiers is a commendable act, for which Centurion Defence Academy deserves heartfelt appreciation. Such events, he added, boost the morale of these heroes. He also appealed to everyone to hoist the tricolour at their homes on the 15th of August.

BJP leader Shri Neeraj Singh stated that we are indebted to all the soldiers stationed at the borders and those entrusted with the nation’s internal security. At the event, the Chairman of Centurion Defence Academy, Shri Shishir Dixit, felicitated the esteemed guests. Former officers and veterans of the armed forces were also honoured during the programme.

IPS Naveen Arora, ADG (TS) Lucknow, enlightened students on cybercrime and security awareness. The electronic media partner ZEE NEWS conducted an engaging session ‘Manthan – Discussion on Defence

Examinations’ with SSB mentors and with the recently recommended students, exploring strategies for consistent success.

As part of the cultural segment, the students staged an emotive skit portraying the life journey of Martyr Lieutenant Shashank Tiwari, who laid down his life while saving a fellow soldier who had fallen into a mountain stream during an operational patrol. The performance moved the audience to tears and stood as a living tribute to the true spirit of sacrifice.

In his memory, Mr. Shishir Dixit, CMD & Chairman, announced that henceforth, the academy’s residential block will be named ‘Lt. Shashank Tiwari Centurion Residential Building’, serving as an everlasting reminder of his indomitable courage and supreme sacrifice.

From cultural performances to honouring valour, the evening stood as a testament to Centurion Defence Academy’s mission — not just producing selections, but grooming absolute leaders for the nation.
