An Egypt-inspired mehndi, a maximalist sangeet and a serene white wedding phera ceremony – this couple’s wedding was a stunner!

A celebration of cosmic connection and soulful storytelling, Kirtika Mishra and Ayush Shah’s wedding unfolded at The Leela Palace Jaipur  as a series of unforgettable moments curated to perfection by WeddingSutra Favorite – IWP- Indian Wedding Planners .

How They Met
They had known each other for over 12 years—like a classic Tom and Jerry duo, constantly sparring yet inseparably close. Ayush was the quiet protector, always present in ways Kirtika once found annoying. But over time, the teasing transformed into tenderness. As Kirtika describes it, “He moved mountains, swam oceans to be with me. It was love that felt straight out of a Bollywood movie.”

Wedding Planning
Every celebration was a carefully crafted extension of their journey—from the thoughtful welcome notes playing on car radios upon arrival to the impeccable attention to detail in décor and dining. Guests were greeted with curated hampers, vibrant energy, and heartfelt hospitality. Each event told a story through design, from delicate florals to immersive installations. Food was another canvas of creativity, featuring a fruit bar with the juiciest mangoes, regional delicacies served with local authenticity, and even a live mirchi pakoda vendor that brought nostalgic joy. Months of ideation came together seamlessly, allowing the couple and their guests to be completely present in the joy of the moment.

Reflecting on the experience, Kirtika and Ayush shared, “Everything we dreamed of was delivered effortlessly — no hassles, no complications. Our vision was placed before us with impeccable precision, and their ideas just added the cherry on top. Guests were impressed by the graceful coordination and genuine warmth they experienced — they still praise the hospitality for feeling both grand and deeply personal.” A special mention, they noted, goes to Anant Khandelwal, “whose personal touch was the most impactful element of the entire experience — truly unforgettable.”

Wedding Functions
Welcome and Mehndi
The celebrations opened with a warm and grand welcome that set the tone for the days to come. Guests were received with regal hospitality, refreshing drinks in earthenware, a traditional band serenading the arrivals, and thoughtful touches at every turn. Inside, the Mehndi ceremony unfolded in an oasis of Egyptian-inspired elegance. Walls and pillars were draped in amber hues and adorned with hieroglyphic art, blending ancient motifs with contemporary comfort. The atmosphere was high-spirited, punctuated by music, live performances, interactive food counters like Turkish ice cream, and curated lounge zones for guests to unwind. Henna was applied amid laughter and song, and the air felt festive yet intimate.

Sangeet and After Party
The sangeet was a bold, theatrical affair that redefined immersive celebration. Swathed in electric red tones, the space was transformed into a whimsical carnival—complete with a towering Ferris wheel installation, dramatic mirrored walkways, disco balls, and thousands of glowing globes suspended from the ceiling. Every corner reflected maximalist glamour with metallic panthers, baroque busts, velvet sofas, floral sculptures, and towering candle clusters that added warmth to the high-octane setting. The stage, set against a surreal LED mountain backdrop, came alive with spirited dance performances and heartfelt speeches.

Haldi
A radiant celebration bathed in sunshine and joy, the haldi was intimate and effervescent. Held in a floral courtyard framed by golden hand impressions and whimsical decor accents—like hand-painted pots and vibrant games—the ceremony struck a perfect balance of elegance and mischief. The energy was lighthearted and deeply affectionate, with laughter echoing as turmeric flew freely. The decor, drenched in pastel hues and lush florals, felt like a warm garden dream.

Wedding
The wedding was a vision in ivory and mirror, blending royal grace with a contemporary aesthetic. The mandap, an opulent structure enveloped in cascading white florals and baby’s breath, stood tall with mirrored pillars and a dreamy floral canopy from which delicate crystal hangings sparkled as dusk settled in. Across the venue, mirrored tables held ornate silver vases, miniature animal figurines, and vintage frames with hand-painted motifs, echoing a regal old-world charm. Ambient lighting from pillar candles and sculptural installations added warmth, creating a soft glow across the decor’s otherwise cool palette. The floral arrangements—dense with lilies, roses, and carnations—paired with glistening table elements, created a setting that was both ethereal and rooted in tradition.

Advice for Couples
Kirtika’s advice is simple yet profound: “Do everything you want to do at your wedding. And when the day comes, let go of what’s done or pending, and just soak it all in. Be present. Enjoy every moment. It’s yours.”
