बॉलीवुड के दिग्गज अभिनेता और हिंदी सिनेमा के अमर सितारे धर्मेंद्र का 89 वर्ष की आयु में आज निधन हो गया। लंबे समय से स्वास्थ्य समस्याओं से जूझ रहे धर्मेंद्र ने सुबह अंतिम सांस ली। उनके निधन की खबर फैलते ही फिल्म जगत में गहरा शोक छा गया।

परिवार की ओर से दी गई जानकारी के मुताबिक, धर्मेंद्र का अंतिम संस्कार मुंबई के विले पार्ले श्मशान घाट में पूर्ण रीति-रिवाज के साथ किया गया। अंतिम विदाई के समय उनकी पत्नी हेमा मालिनी, बेटे सनी देओल व बॉबी देओल, बेटियां ईशा व अहाना देओल सहित परिवार के अन्य सदस्य मौजूद रहे।
फिल्म जगत से कई सितारे भी अंतिम दर्शन के लिए पहुँचे और नम आँखों से श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की।

पिछले कुछ दिनों से धर्मेंद्र की तबीयत लगातार बिगड़ रही थी। उन्हें मुंबई के एक निजी अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया था, जहाँ डॉक्टरों की टीम उनकी देखभाल कर रही थी। स्वास्थ्य में सुधार न होने के कारण सोमवार सुबह उनका निधन हो गया।

धर्मेंद्र ने लगभग छह दशक लंबे फिल्मी करियर में भारतीय सिनेमा को अनेकों अविस्मरणीय फिल्में दीं।
‘शोले’, ‘सीता और गीता’, ‘चुपके चुपके’, ‘धरम वीर’, ‘यादों की बारात’, ‘अनुपमा’ जैसी कई सुपरहिट फिल्मों में उनके अभिनय ने हिंदी फिल्मों को नई पहचान दी।
स्टाइल, एक्शन और रोमांस — धर्मेंद्र हर शैली में दर्शकों के चहेते बने रहे। उनकी मजबूत काया और दमदार अंदाज़ के कारण ही उन्हें ‘ही-मैन ऑफ बॉलीवुड’ की उपाधि मिली।

अमिताभ बच्चन, सलमान खान, अक्षय कुमार, अजय देवगन सहित अनगिनत सितारों ने उनके निधन पर गहरा दुख व्यक्त किया। सभी ने उन्हें सादगी, विनम्रता और महान अभिनय का प्रतीक बताया।
सोशल मीडिया पर भी प्रशंसकों ने उनके प्रति अपनी भावनाएँ व्यक्त करते हुए लिखा कि “धर्मेंद्र के जाने से एक युग का अंत हो गया।”

धर्मेंद्र न केवल एक अभिनेता, बल्कि एक भावनात्मक, सरल और जनता से जुड़ा चेहरा थे। भारतीय सिनेमा में उनका योगदान अतुलनीय है।
उनके निधन से फिल्म इंडस्ट्री ने एक ऐसे कलाकार को खो दिया है, जिसकी कमी हमेशा महसूस की जाएगी।
