All preparations have been completed in Ayodhya regarding the worship of Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya. Saryu Ghat is decorated in a grand manner. Prime Minister Narendra Modi first arrived at Amausi Airport in Lucknow from Delhi and then left for Ayodhya by helicopter and reached around at 11:30 AM. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in a traditional Hindu costume dhoti-kurta. The dhoti-kurta has special significance at the time of worship in Hinduism. It is specially worn by PM Modi for the Shri Ram Temple Bhoomi Pujan program. Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached the helipad of Saket College, Ramnagari. He was welcomed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath there.

After this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi worshiped and saw Lord Hanuman’s devotee Hanuman at the Ayodhya Hanumangarhi temple and left for the Bhoomi Pujan site. The Bhoomi Pujan has been started at 12:00PM  for the construction of a grand Ram temple at Abhijit Muhurta.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will use the shovel and Kanni(Trowel) for the Bhoomi Pujan of the Ram temple. PM Modi will dig the foundation with a shovel in place of the womb house and from Kanni(Trowel) will apply cement on a brick (rock).

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Ramlala in Ayodhya Hanumangarhi temple after worshiping Lord Hanuman’s devotee Hanuman. Amidst the Vedic chants, the Prime Minister laid a wreath at the Shri feet of Ramlala. The whole complex resonated with the conch sound. During this, he gave a message of environmental protection by planting the Parijat plant in the campus.

He also did a Parikrama of the temple with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Gaddinshin Shrimanat Premadas of Hanumangarhi welcomed PM Modi with a silver crown and Ramnami.

Narendra Modi will be the first Prime Minister of the country to see at Hanumangarhi in Ayodhya. Not only this, but he will also be the first Prime Minister to see Lord Shri Ram in Ramlala courtyard.

The soil and water from Triveni Sangam the confluence of the Ganga, the Yamuna, and a third mythical river the Saraswati, will reach Ayodhya on Thursday for the `Bhoomi Puja` of Ram temple. A three-member community of Vishwa Hindu Parishad(VHP) will take water and soil for Bhoomi Pujan.

For the auspicious occasion on 5th August, sacred soil from prominent temples from throughout the country and water from all holy and religiously-significant water bodies in India are being brought.

Here take a look of those places from where sacred soil and water has been brought for the Bhoomi Pujan:

• West Bengal: Sacred soil from significant temples such as Kalighat, Dakhineshwar, Gangasagar, and Madan Mohan temple of Coochbehar in West Bengal will have been sent for Bhoomi Pujan. Along with this the holy water from Sangam and other confluences of rivers such as Gangasagar, Bhagirathi, Triveni will also reach Ayodhya by RSS, BJP and VHP workers. 

• Devbhoomi: As we all know that Uttarakhand is known as Devbhoomi and has been considered a holy place for the years. The sacred soil from all the Char Dham: Gangotri, Yamunotri, Badrinath, and Kedarnath along with water of these religious places will also be sent for the auspicious occasion of the construction of Ram Mandir.

• Kamakhya: RSS and VHP workers have collected scared soil from Maa Kamakhya temple in Guwahati, Assam for the groundbreaking ceremony.

• Gorakhnath temple: Sacred soil from the Gorakhnath temple has also been sent for Bhoomi Pujan in Ayodhya.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                “Apart from sacred water and soil from these place, the soil of Kashi Vishwanath temple, Shringverpur water, and sacred soil and water of other prominent religious shrines including Kabir Math, Maharshi Bhardwaj ashram, and Sitamadhi would also be collected and sent to Ayodhya before August 5,” the VHP leader said.

Bhoomi Pujan event will be live telecasted on Doordarshan on 5th August 2020.

After the historic verdict of the Supreme Court on Babri Masjid vs Ram Janmabhoomi verdict, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Ayodhya on 5th August for the special occasion “Bhoomi Puja” ceremony to begin the construction of a grand Ram Temple. 

The 3-day long Vedic rituals, beginning August 3, will precede the main ceremony, according to the members of the Trust. 

After an extended legitimate tussle, the Supreme Court had on November 9 last year ruled in the favour of a Lord Ram Temple at the disputed site in Ayodhya. The court had additionally directed the Centre to allot an alternative five-acre plot to the Sunni Waqf Board for building a new mosque at a “prominent” place in the sacred town in Uttar Pradesh.
