How they met

Shivangi and Ankit first crossed paths at their society’s New Year’s Eve party. “Ankit broke the ice with the classic line of – I think I’ve seen you somewhere” Shivangi laughs, “While I found it charming, we didn’t communicate much until I responded to his message on the society’s group chat a few days later, looking for people who played basketball. We became friends playing hoops and soon our conversations turned into long walks and drives. I already knew that he was the perfect guy for me, but he felt that the realization set in on our first trip to Mussoorie, and he popped the question to me a month later with a grand proposal and gala dinner. My life has been a fairytale ever since”.

Wedding Planning

The couple envisioned a vibrant celebration and entrusted the renowned team of Exotic Goa to orchestrate their events. From a laid back beach party to a Spanish-themed Mehndi, Bollywood night and more, they planned every function with distinct themes for an unforgettable experience.

All of their special moments were immortalized in beautiful frames by the team of Lenseyezia. Talking about their experience, they share, “Our wedding was beautifully photographed by the amazing Lenseyezia team. They paid attention to the minutest of details, and caught every hidden moment and emotion beautifully. It was the best decision to choose them as our wedding photographers and we would highly recommend them to everyone”.

Wedding Functions

Engagement

The engagement soiree was high on grandeur with a decor of red and gold adorned with plush elements like chandeliers, drapes and intricate floral arrangements. The bride sported a shimmering midnight blue gown by Dolly J while the groom wore a classic black tuxedo by Gaurav Gupta.

White Sand Party

An eclectic white sand party on the first night kickstarted the celebrations in Goa on a groovy note. With a modish all-white dress code, professional dancers and fire performers, the affair was extremely chic and set a party-like vibe for the occasions to come

Mehndi

The Mehndi function saw vibrant Spanish themed decor and was full of lively celebrations.

Sangeet

The Bollywood night themed Sangeet function lived up to its name with glamorous decor, a red carpet entrance and an evening of grand dance performances by the couple and their loved ones, as well as a show-stopping one by Ash King. Glitzy decor of red was illuminated with long candle votives and LED vanity lights. The festivities carried on late into the night with endless music and dancing.

Haldi

The traditional yellow decor of marigolds for the outdoor Haldi function got a modern update with drapes, spring blooms and wooden elements that set a fresh, breezy ambience. The couple twinned in yellow ensembles, as did their loved ones.

Wedding

The sundowner beachside Wedding combined divine tradition with a contemporary elegance. Set against the backdrop of the ocean and sunset horizon, the minimalist mandap comprised of a golden structure decked with breezy white drapes and red flowers that concocted a magical vision. The groom sported an ivory sherwani while the bride gave a modern twist to her ceremonial reds with a pop of mint green. The couple exchanged their vows against a beautiful sunset as their loved ones shared in their joy.

Advice for couples

“The only tip I would give to couples who’re getting married is to be calm and constantly communicate with each other which really helps. With the stress of wedding planning, if there is a communication gap, it could lead to arguments and may ruin the experience which should otherwise be joyous”.

शनिवार को यह कार्यक्रम संस्था के डायरेक्टर मीनाक्षी खंडेलवाल द्वारा आयोजित कराया गया। इस कार्यक्रम में बीजेपी, सपा, कांग्रेस और बसपा के सियासी दलों को उनकी पोशाकों द्वारा दर्शाया गया। कार्यक्रम का संचालन वर्षा रत्नानी ने किया।

कार्यक्रम का लक्ष्य

कार्यक्रम के उद्देश्य के बारे में आईआईएफटी संस्था की डायरेक्टर मीनाक्षी खंडेलवाल ने बताया कि हम पिछले करीब 20 साल से इस तरह के कार्यक्रम आयोजित करते आ रहे हैं। हम मतदान से पहले ऐसे कार्यक्रम आयोजित करते हैं, जिससे हमारे संस्था की छात्राओं के साथ-साथ हम लोगों को राजनीतिक दलों के बारे में और उनके एजेंडा व काम के बारे में जागरूक कर सकें। उन्होंने बताया कि लोकतांत्रिक व्यवस्था को बनाए रखने के लिए राजनीतिक दलों की भूमिका बहुत महत्वपूर्ण होती है और ऐसे में लोगों को जागरूक रहकर अपना पसंदीदा जनप्रतिनिधि चुनना चाहिए, जिससे देश, प्रदेश व क्षेत्र का भविष्य सही हाथों में जाए।

डायरेक्टर मीनाक्षी खंडेलवाल लोगों से अपील करते हुए कहा कि 14 फरवरी को ज्यादा से ज्यादा लोग अपने घरों से निकले और मतदान करने जाएं। वहीं, कार्यक्रम में भाग लेने वाली छात्राओं ने कहा कि देश, प्रदेश व क्षेत्र के विकास में राजनीतिक दलों व उनके प्रतिनिधियों का रोल सबसे अहम होता है। ऐसे में हमें इनके बारे में जागरूक रहना जरूरी है और मतदान करना भी।

छात्राओं ने की मतदान की अपील

छात्राओं ने कहा, हम सभी की अपील है कि 14 फरवरी को अपने घरों से बाहर निकलें और मतदान केंद्रों पर पहुंचकर अपने जनप्रतिनिधि को वोट करें। इस कार्यक्रम में संस्था की छात्राएं अंजुम, काशिफा, शिफा, हिना, रिनी, चांदनी, आकांक्षा, अनुप्रिया, अकविंदर, सुगनी, दिव्यांशी, दीपिका, सिमरन, प्रिया, अनुष्का समेत कई छात्राओं ने भाग लिया।

What’s shocking is that 95% of people all around the world fail their diets.

In our ETHICAL challenge of losing weight in 21 days we not only work on habits exercises and diets that help us shed extra weight but also work on body image and mindset so that we continue to keep on sustaining our desired body.

Many times when people are on diet it feels like torture!!

This is largely due to the information commercials and social media is feeding us. It makes it appear that eating healthy is synonymous to ‘being sad’ while indulging in junk food and excess food is glamorized as being a ‘happy habit’! Think about it! Nobody glamorizes staying home and having home made food.

> Going out for dinner seems like fun (while staying home and eating is deemed too regular)

> Having soda/Coke/Pepsi/7Up when we go out to eat fries or something is seen as a norm though we all know that these have unhealthy amounts of processed sugar.

Some more things to dig dive in is when you are in a diet how many people cheer for you and applaud your confidence and how many frown at you and even make fun of having a diet?

Who SURROUND you is very important.

For this reason in this private group you are going to find accountability partners- those who think like you appreciate you and celebrate your success.

Who we surround ourselves with dictates 50% of the habits we form.

The biggest challenge we all (even I) go through is the feeling of departing from our favourite foods. That feeling is agonizing to even think of how we may never be able to eat our favourite food again because of calories.

But you know the biggest thing with this CHALLENGE?

You do NOT have to give up on your favourite food!

In fact you get to eat whatever you want in due proportion throughout intermittent fasting.

You will also develop a TASTE for the good food while those you deemed once irresistible will taste even better!
