सबीह खान, जिन्होंने Apple में करीब तीन दशक तक काम किया है, अब COO जैफ विलियम्स की जगह लेंगे। कंपनी ने यह घोषणा करते हुए उन्हें “Apple की वैश्विक आपूर्ति श्रृंखला के मुख्य आर्किटेक्ट” बताया।

सबीह खान का जन्म वर्ष 1966 में उत्तर प्रदेश के मुरादाबाद में हुआ था। उन्होंने अपनी प्रारंभिक शिक्षा सिंगापुर में प्राप्त की और फिर अमेरिका के Tufts University से मेकेनिकल इंजीनियरिंग व इकोनॉमिक्स में डिग्री ली। इसके बाद उन्होंने Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) से मास्टर डिग्री प्राप्त की।

उनका करियर GE Plastics में इंजीनियर के रूप में शुरू हुआ। बाद में उन्होंने 1995 में Apple जॉइन किया और तब से कंपनी की आपूर्ति श्रृंखला, मैन्युफैक्चरिंग, प्लानिंग और पर्यावरणीय पहल में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान दिया।

सबीह खान ने Apple की सप्लाई चेन को न केवल तकनीकी रूप से सुदृढ़ किया बल्कि उसे पर्यावरणीय दृष्टिकोण से भी अग्रणी बनाया। उनके नेतृत्व में कंपनी ने अपने कार्बन फुटप्रिंट को 60% तक घटाया और सस्टेनेबिलिटी को मुख्य रणनीति का हिस्सा बनाया।

According to the report, the production of this series is expected to begin at the Narasapura plant in Bengaluru.
